AIDAR experiences connectivity at MWC Barcelona 2022
MWC Barcelona 2022 was the world’s most influential event for the connectivity industry. World-leading companies shared their experience and vision of the future. It was also the best place for networking opportunities with mobile and tech industry influencers. Could we miss this event? No way!
It was a four-days, truly international and high-level-management experience. Attendees came from 2,000 different companies, 183 countries, and half of them on the director level or above. Tons of talks, expert speeches, meetings with our partners and opportunities to touch and test the newest hardware that companies launch this year.
What’s new in AR and VR world?
This kind of events introduce many new software and hardware solutions to the already digitalized world. The revolutionary Microsoft HoloLens2 was first presented on MWC 2019 (read more here).
This year we had a chance to wear and compare newest mixed reality goggles created by the biggest market players – Lenovo, nreal, Oppo, HTC. This only proves that the future may belong to the AR hardware and software.
Our leading partner HTC introduced new VR glasses Vive Flow and more pro-market version Focus 3 for advanced and complexed scenarios. Both equipped with 5G portable solution. We simply love how the HTC team leads the industry forward and we are ready to take our next steps as partners!
Very interesting software solution was presented by Quallcome. They’ve introduced SnapDragon Spaces – a platform for creating AR applications. Well done! Find out more here.
MWC Barcelona says that 5G technology becomes a new standard
The next generation of wireless connectivity is called “5G”. Is has the capacity to support a huge number of connections simultaneously while improving speed, latency, reliability, and power consumption for handsets and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This will allow mixed reality goggles to become lighter, smaller, and the cloud computing will replace the hardware one, meaning that glasses will storage and process data in a cloud delivered by such service provider. This will also make the glasses cheaper therefore more affordable for many new industries and uses.
Together with our partner MobiledgeX we are planning to deliver such pioneer service to the clients all over the world. Docomo, our Japanese partner, already showcased our solutions on the Open House 22 Fairs in Tokyo.
So what is the future of mixed reality?
The harsh truth is that technology is not simply created to enjoy it or admire it, but to improve lives and processes and to change it into money for all the involved parties. As a company we are focused on delivering the maximum impact where it’s needed the most – therefore we constantly ask ourselves “What is the problem we’re trying to solve?” and “How do we transparently and effectively measure our impact?”. We are not selling new technologies, we are delivering solutions to the problems that companies have using best and up-to-date knowledge.
Will smartphones be pushed aside by AR glasses? Will the convenience of a free-hands solution and faster access to knowledge and contextual information prevail over our mobile devices? We will certainly see it sooner than later. For now, we thank MWC Barcelona 2022 for inspiration, knowledge, and beautiful early spring sun 🙂
