Aidar Solutions at LEARNTEC 2023, the biggest digital education event in Europe
The biggest digital education event in Europe has marked its 30th anniversary from May 23 to 25, 2023, and it once more examined future educational trends. Nearly all important providers of digital education were present at LEARNTEC, where 400 exhibitors showcased the newest innovations in the education market. This year, a lot of discussions centered on the megatrend ChatGPT as well as on the virtual realities and their advantages for educators, students, and the workplace. We, as Aidar, were the only Polish company presenting its immersive learning solutions to visitors from 19 countries.
Over 20 exhibitors, including Aidar, showcased the newest technology in the AR/VR Area. Torsten Fell was the host of the area. With over 20 years of experience, Torsten is an expert in the field of corporate learning, digital transformation, and immersive experience. With his Immersive Learning Academy, he accompanies companies as a driving force in change and realignment.
There were varied presentations that demonstrated best practices and the potential of immersive learning over the course of the three days. The new occupation of “immersive media designer” and the significance of new technologies in the war of talents were only some of the subjects covered. The importance of mixed reality training easy-to-use editors was also a highly-discussed matter as they improve the quality of work for trainers and help build the knowledge database, one of the biggest assets a company can have.
VR training tools with no-code and easy-to-use editors
“There are several reasons why VR training tools should have easy-to-use no-code authoring tools” – says Marek Carbon, Aidar’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. “Accessibility is the first one. Easy-to-use editors make VR training tools more accessible to a wider range of users, including designers, experts, and trainers who may not have extensive programming or technical expertise. This lowers the barrier to entry and allows more people to create and customize VR training experiences.
The second one is flexibility. An easy-to-use editor empowers users to quickly and easily modify VR training content to suit their specific needs. They can easily update or adapt training scenarios, change environments, or incorporate new instructional materials. This flexibility enables trainers to respond to evolving training requirements or industry changes efficiently.
Let’s not forget about the time and cost efficiency that an intuitive editor creates. Users can create or modify VR training content saving time and reducing costs. They can make in-house adjustments without relying on external developers or technical support. This streamlines the content creation process and facilitates the rapid deployment of updated or new training modules.
And last but not least, with easy-to-use editors users can create prototypes or initial versions of training scenarios, test them with users, gather feedback, and make improvements quickly. This process allows for continuous refinement and enhancement of training content, leading to more effective and engaging VR training experiences. In addition, experts can directly contribute to the creation and customization of training content as an accessible editor empowers them to actively participate in the development process.”
The great news is that we did not have to convince anyone about the important role of VR/AR training. All industries already know that Virtual Reality training holds significant importance for production companies as it provides a safe and immersive environment for employees to learn and practice essential tasks and that VR simulations enable workers to gain hands-on experience, improve their skills, and familiarize themselves with complex machinery or hazardous environments without the risk of accidents or costly damage. The only question now is how to implement such tools efficiently, not if. What made us really proud and happy was that after discussing the VR training market offer with various companies, Aidar’s tools appeared to be among the best and most client-oriented thanks to our content editor.
We also had a chance to meet our partner HTC and their DACH & Benelux Sales Head, June Hsieh at the fair and talk about the enterprise store that they are launching very soon. The more high-quality accessible content there will be, the more companies will be eager to implement such tools in their daily training routines. So, we are looking forward to seeing how the world of corporate education will change.
Thank you all for visiting us at the fair! It was a great pleasure and inspiration for us to exchange ideas and observations with you.
